Upside down ..

The doctor just told Mom and Dad that I already turn upside down. It basically means that the bump that Mom and Dad pat cheerfully on daily basis is actually my butt :) ..

So stop talking to my butt please :) ...

9 weeks to go!

Another one stolen from you-know-who :) ..

After months of practicing, my tummy can pose by itself in pictures. Owner not needed. Next time it has photo session maybe I can quickly go downstairs and eat ice kachang.

Love the ads!

Look at how happy they are! Make me wonder if maybe I should :P ...

Dad killed the baby today!!

Another parenting class week ..

Today we learn about the 5 "S" technique that supposedly will comfort me. As many dad-to-be did, he practiced the swaddling the baby trick with a plastic doll. Wrap here, wrap there and he end up decapitating the baby doll (duh!) ..

Not a very good sign and I hope he practice more ..

Here is the link if any of you want to learn more.

Tummy Pic #2 ...

I am getting bigger!!!

Homer ..

"Hey that's your baby .. whoaaa he looks like the character from The Simpsons!!!"

Hmm not a very good sign hearing this from our Doctor eh? I wonder if part of this is due to my Dad liking of Homer and Bruce Willis :(

Globe-trotters ..

I've been to Australia TWICE!!! Not too shabby for an not-born-yet baby eh :) ...

I overheard Dad trying to sell the idea to Mom that we have to travel before the airline start charging for my seat (cheapo!) .. Oh well I do hope he manage to convince Mom :P

4 Months to go ..

Whoa another one ... Dad better pray for his life when Mom found out he's been stealing her posts ..

4 months to go!

4 months. 16 weeks. And I already feel like a whale.

Can’t imagine what it’s like to be much bigger than this :( Although I feel much better than in the 1st trimester, the nausea never really goes away and the worst is in the evening after dinner when I feel REALLY (big bold red letters here) stuffed and the thought of throwing up half the contents of my tummy seems more and more appealing each day. Breathlessness starts to kick in and Cimot is getting better and better at soccer/kickboxing/capoeira/tap dancing. Ouch. :(

Another thing that bothers me since the beginning of my pregnancy: I eat like a girl now  I really miss the days when I could cleanly sweep one whole portion of meal. Now I can barely eat half of it. Whatever happen with eating for two that everyone is raving about? That’s one of the thing that I was looking forward to in pregnancy (besides boobs improvement, of course, which sadly also does not perform as well as I hoped for :rolleye: ). Perhaps that explains my measly 4kg weight gain so far. Thankfully Cimot is growing fine.

And my waistline reaches 100cm! I’m officially as big as Panda now :P ...

Got Titit :P ...

Another one from where else ..
*won't it be easier if Mom start to blog here too!!! -roll eyes in disbelief- *

We have an outy!

As the title says :P

Last Thursday we went for the detailed scan. The sonographer aunty checked the usual stuff like internal organs, head and limb measurements, the face, etc etc. After poking my tummy for few minutes, she pointed a spot on the screen and said, “See? It’s a boy”. The truth is, I didn’t see anything. Nevertheless I nodded with a big grin  Hey, she must’ve done this a million times, right?

She even marked the spot with a circle and arrow picture so we won’t miss it. Nice touch, aunty!

I don’t have much nausea or indigestion anymore lately *amen*, with the exception of the past 3 days. Dunno what’s going on. However, I do feel like a blowfish each night after dinner. Not just my tummy but my body feel really stuffed and my skin so stretched it feels like cracking and exploding anytime. And some days I swear I grow bigger overnight ..

Cimot has been moving a lot too lately. It started as soft *plop* and twitches 2 weeks ago but getting more and more positively like a bump. Judging by his position during the last scan, he’s been having fun headbutting my tummy each day (he’s upside down, btw). And this cheeky little fella is playing hide-n-seek with us! Of course I can feel him moving, but Panda only managed to catch him once so far. How on earth does he know we are trying to catch him? I guess this is one of the unsolved mystery of the universe. Oh well.

Before and After ...

Another one stolen from Mom's blog ..

Tummy pic #1

That’s me on the left, at 18 weeks

Update @ 10:16pm
Me still on the left at around minus 3 weeks and my sis at around 29 weeks :) Taken early October last year.

Update on Feb 18 @ 2:59pm
Ok, the last update to this post. Promise. Really can’t resist this one.

Below is my sis’ pic taken at 20 weeks. Notice something? Yep, same flowery top :) That’s because I raided her wardrobe and stole most of her maternity tops, heehee …

Mom's first post of me ..

Happily stolen from Mom's blog :) ..

Earth calling Cimot

When I first found out that you were here, I was naturally still sitting on the porcelain goddess and remained there speechless for few more seconds. It was a big surprise for me, and I think for your dad too because he blinked few times before asking the unnecessary question, “How do you know?”*. Then lots of questions came to my mind, one was if I qualified for the job. After all, I’m not know as a person who keeps her house organized, or prepares healthy breakfast-lunch-dinner for your dad, or wakes up with a big smile before the sun rises.
*Answer: the sky cracked open and an angel sang to me. Duh!

Putting that aside, of course I love having you here although I can’t see or feel you yet. The only thing I can feel now are the gas, the acid, and the hunger attacks which make me cranky most of the time, but at least that means you are healthy. Oh, I’m sure that will pass soon and I will turn into one of those glowing mom-to-be often seen in books and magazines (God, that’s your hint. Please?). Your dad, on the other hand, is coping better and has been a great help so far. Occasionally he still makes remarks that warrant icy cold stares from me but most of the time he keeps his mouth shut and just nods in sympathy whenever I complain. Many times he bravely ventures into the darkness of the night to grab me some midnight snacks from the fridge, and he makes sure food is available on the table when I come home from work. Perhaps he’s more afraid of the consequences if I’m not fed on time. One day you’ll find out yourself that a combination of hormones and hunger attacks is known to be lethal for many husbands. Trust me on that. However, his back and foot massage skills are not yet proven and tested although I don’t put high hopes on that.

Right now you are still so small but when we went for a test a couple of days ago, we saw your 5 little toes though the tummy cam! And 2 weeks ago you even waved at us in the doctor’s office. Well, Aunt Ria said you might have given us a finger instead of waving but again, I choose to see the bright side. It will still be few weeks until we know what to call you but for now your name is Cimot. No complain, ok? Like I said, we’ll give you a better name as soon as we find out whether you are an, uh, inny or an outy. Aunt Gita has also nicknamed you Pandamini, which reminds me of a certain public transportation in my hometown. Soon, too, you will be able to hear us from your bubble home in there so I’ve been nagging at your dad to brush up his non-existent singing skill starting now. So far he responds by changing the conversation topics so I guess I have to do the singing part myself. Too bad because without comparison, I can’t boast that I sing much better than him. You just have to trust me as well on that. He is, however, very good at impersonating Tazmanian Devil and a blowfish. I’ll let you hear the Taz later but you need to wait until you are out for the blowfish. It never fails to crack me up.
